the first set of silver phoenix reader questions.
i finally took the time to poorly edit this second
set. 8) this video has NO SPOILERS! so please,

from nels : what actors would i choose to
play the characters in silver phoenix?

from suzanne and faye : what kinds research did i do
for my debut? is it based on an actual dynasty or place?

also from faye : what are the meanings to the names
giving to silver phoenix characters?

please avoid watching if you haven’t read Silver
Phoenix and hate spoilers! =) this vlog doesn’t
address all the questions posed. but i felt it was

the questions :

I have a question too! I found Chen Yong’s brother,
Li Rong, to be such a loveable character, in some ways
easier to love than Chen Yong. Given that Chen Yong is
the love interest in the book, I was wondering if you
worried about Li Rong overshadowing him. If you did,
did you use any particular techniques to keep that from
happening? Also, which one would you be more likely to
fall for?

Silver Phoenix has some interesting and vivid descriptions
that seem like they might be idioms. One that stands out:
Liao Kang “was a bamboo of a boy, the barely green type”
Is this a sort of idiom or just a great description of your own?

this is my first attempt at vlogging, which i’ve already
posted on my facebook. it’s all very new to me
and seems fun! i hope to post vlogs at least twice
a month.

today, the love stayed home to mind the bubs so
i could go to the gym, then write in the afternoon.
1400 in new words and it was a wonderful day! i
had the foto below open by my doc as i wrote, for
inspiration. hee!

i’m shameless, i know. =D but i was
inspired!! off to los angeles to visit mom
for two days. writing will be unlikely there, but
i can read!! i’ll be bringing THE QUEEN OF ATTOLIA
with me. just finished PARIS PAN late last night and
it was scary! also very touching and funny. i
thoroughly enjoyed it and hope cynthea will write
more of paris’ adventures!
