augh! is it monday already?
this is so icky i simply must give away
some books to make myself feel better!
while in england this past x’mas, i picked
up a few awesome uk editions (with uk covers!)
of debs novels, including r.j. anderson’s
gorgeous KNIFE. to my utter surprised pleasure,
her sequel REBEL came out while i was there–
and i can’t wait to read this!
my review of knife :
what an absolutely delightful read. you always
know when a book has found its way into your
heart when you are filled with regret when the story
is over. faery rebels is a middle grade novel–a genre
i have not read in some time–but it is a book to be
enjoyed by all ages.
knife is a fearless faery intent on finding out the truth
of her people’s past, when she befriends a human friend, paul.
with evocative prose and wonderful storytelling, anderson
slowly unravels the mystery behind the faeries’ unhappy
circumstance, as knife does all she can to help her kind.
knife is the perfect heroine for this fantastic debut. i
recommend highly!
…
r.j.’s debut has received much critical acclaim including
being nominated for Hillingdon Book of the Year Award,
a program which promotes literacy in schools in the London,
UK area. students read the nominated books and vote on the winner.
how awesome is that?
win BOTH uk editions of this novel by tweeting/fb/blogging/LJ’ing
about this contest and linking to this post. be sure to come back
and COMMENT in this post with your link to tweet, etc, by this
sunday, 2/14. i’ll choose a winner some time on sunday. good
luck to all and TGIFBM!! =D

I already own Knife, but for anyone not sure about entering, do! It’s a wonderful book, well written with a smart, brave heroine and atypical but really spot-on love interest.
Awesome books! I don’t have a blog or tweet, but just wanted to say Knife looks great!
Great looking books! I love the simplicity of the cover designs, how they definitely brand it as a series but still differ.
They look great!
I posted both on my profile and on the news feed on facebook, because I still don’t quite know what I’m doing.

I tweeted, but don’t know how to get the url for it: “Want an opportunity to win a great MG fantasy book? Go to http://cindypon.com/2010/tgifbm-uk-edition/ for details.”
Sounds like a fun read.
Here’s my tweet:
Go here: http://cindypon.com/2010/tgifbm-uk-edition/ for a chance to win cool MG fantasy!R.J. Anderson and Cindy Pon ROCK!
I love your description. YA and MG seem to blur the lines these days so that anyone can appreciate them. I was struck by the cover art – the stance on the Knife fairy looked sharp and the one on the Rebel looked, well, rebellious!
I have done tweeted it. And I have shown the covers to my own little fairy, who can’t wait to read it.
Thanks for a great contest. Here’s my link http://observationdesk.blogspot.com/2010/02/time-to-be-ghost.html
