Either y’all are really short, or that board is outrageously long. East coast boards come up to my chest.

I’m going to be at your panel! Can’t wait!

P.S. I got my signed hardcover of Silver Phoenix at the MG booth last year. Comic Con is the best. <3

    thanks jan!

david, megan said the longer boards are easier to balance on, tho not as spiffy fast as the shorter–which i couldn’t manage spiffy fast anyway. ha!

elizabet, fantastic! and how wonderful you got my book last year there, i hope you enjoyed it!

It’s just not fair. Here you guys are surfing at Pacific beaches that for some reason are covered in lush green grass rather than sand, and here in New York we’re swimming in Dumpsters set up on Park Avenue (no, really): http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/16/nyregion/16pool.html

    What a life.

tim, we have grass and sand at some beaches here! and wow, you look like you’re having a blast in that, uh, pool. haha! =D

seriously, nyc is fantastic. but you need to come enjoy the culture shock of san diego!

and even tim’s alien is cuter than mine.

Hey, you survived your first surf lesson with a smile on your face. Awesome!

Definitely not brave enough to try that. Between the fear of drowning and sharks…irrational, I know…plus very clumsy balance, I don’t think I can psych myself up to get up on a surfboard.

jeannie, it was very cool. and i had to muster the courage, that’s for sure!
