seriously, tho, when my good fotog friend,
winnie, asked me if i’d do some fitness modeling
for her, i was flattered but hesitant. i
definitely enjoy a good work out, but
fitness modeling?
well, i’m glad i said yes. she and i had
the greatest time. and tyra is RIGHT,
modeling is NOT easy. (esp with my non-fierce
near-sighted cow eyes.) but i’m really happy
with these fotos and i’m glad winnie is as well.
these are going into an industry magazine
and i’ll share details when feature is out!
my friend is a professional food fotog
and is moving beyond just food at rocket
speed. you should really all check out her

what’s really interesting is that we both met
up around last march at the beginning of
our new “careers”. and we both wondered how
we would ever get our foot in the door, how the
odds were stacked against us, how much dedication
and heartache it’d take on our parts. and we were
right–BUT look how far we’ve come. winnie is getting
great fotog opportunities and assignments and i’ve
got my debut coming out next month! just a little
over a year later. (in march of last year, i was probably
querying my 100th agent, ha!)
we had a wonderful lunch and desserts at (where else?)
extraordinary desserts after the shoot and agreed
it’s amazing where we are at now. how lucky we
both are. and how much hard work it took to get here–
as well as how much hard work is before us.
i know my friend has an incredible professional
career in front of her. and i hope to tag along every
step of the way. thanks, win!!

I know what you mean about modeling! It’s not easy. A friend of mine is a professional photographer. He wanted to photograph my twin sister and I. At the shoot, he kept saying, “Just keep your face normal. Don’t have any expression.” That’s NOT easy! I was totally self conscious of my mouth/eyes the entire time. lol! But, hey, you look fantastic in those! Way to go. :)

I tried sitting on one of those balls once and fell off almost straight away. Core strength could be better I guess. It’s so true how those struggles can change in a relatively short space of time. Onward and upward all! :)
