here we are, mid-february, and i still
haven’t finished posting london fotos!
on our last full day in the city, the love
wanted to go visit the natural history museum.
unfortunately, so did everyone else, and
there was a giant queue to get inside.
there was an ice skating rink outside
along with some stands for crafts, clothes
and food!
i’ve never been before, but was impressed by the
architecture. you can see the crowds snaking toward
the front entrance.
the foyer contained the dino skeleton.
i can’t remember what this was supposed to
be. something that is tiny now.
it’s beautiful, isn’t it? gorgeously clear day,
but frigid!
just to give you an idea of how crowded it was.
the museum was free, but took donations.
despite rainy weather, today was a good day.
i’m steadily working away on the picture book,
and the small critters make me very happy.
i will paint flowers tomorrow. i was hoping to
take a long weekend somewhere during the
bubs’ spring break. but it may depend on how
frenetic i feel. then again, maybe four days
away would be good for me? i’m thinking
seattle? nowhere far. and of course, we love
san francisco…
best quote of the day, from sweet pea :
mommy, jimmy told me he could speak
porkacheese.

Wow! That museum looks amazing. The building alone is cool. :)
Looks like it was an awesome trip. London has always been on the top of my list.
Love Seattle – lived there for 3 years. My daughter will be playing basketball up there this weekend and we will be at a wedding there in March. Always fun.
One day, I’ll have to do a post about our trip to London – driving on the “wrong” side of the street-yikes! Great pics you have!
Wow, that’s just beautiful. Did the crowds bother you? Will you write a review on “The Season” when you finish it? Please do!
Gosh, it makes me itchy to travel. Some day…
Ha-ha, “porkacheese.” I’m guessing she means Portuguese, eh? That’s so cute! :)
Great pics, Cin. Could that skeleton be of a giant sloth? It sorta looks like one.
So pretty! Oh, I’m so jealous of you and all your London-time!
renee, it’s my favorite city, worth visiting for certain!
kim, please do! and i’m leaning toward traveling, except for costs. hmm.
maggie, i love it so far. i’ll put up a review here but if not def on good reads! i’ll let you know!
angela, i get the travel itch too. i love planning trips. =)
david, yes! apparently, jimmy’s nanny is from porkachul. HA! =)
sara, you can go one day too!
and david, yes, i do think it’s a sloth. i wanted to say so but felt like i was making it up! ha!
Mmmmm porkacheese sounds yummy. It also sounds slightly wrong too. he he.
Well of COURSE!!!! come to Seattle. We’ll meet for dinner! I know just the place! And you can even come visit the farm!
Wonderful pics . . .
Oh how these pictures bring back memories! I used to live just around the corner from the Natural History Museum, on Prince’s Gate. Such a beautiful building!
Do sloths get that huge??? It’s like – three to four times the size of those little kids. And what the heck is it doing? Totally looks like it’s using the branch as a microphone for a jazzy song.
ello, it does, doesn’t it? hee!
elise, i’m very very tempted. i think if i do seattle, i won’t be doing nyc this year…
nadine, wow! how long did you live in london? were you a student?
MF, sloths were that huge a looong time ago! i think it was trying to read a kid in the tree to eat! =O
London is an amazing place! Excellent photos.. and I love the quote of the day :)
Congrats on the book as well! Just read your interview over at Alex’s site.
