seven facts meme

i’ve been tagged by jen! and gosh, i’m
not sure if i can come up with seven facts
that are new and / or interesting.

1. roulette is my favorite game in
vegas. (and i go infrequently, every
five years–if that.) i always put money
on 3. when i win, i jump up and
down like a dork. and scream. and clap.

2. i wrote a letter to “my future husband”
when i was sixteen. i never gave it to the
love. it’s an embarrassment.

3. i’ve kept paper journals since the fifth grade.
the habit fell by the wayside in my late twenties.
but now i have a very public journal. not the
same, but good in its own way.

4. i am terrible at sports. in junior high,
physical education was the only C on my
report card. =( thursdays were our
running days
and i’d get sick just at the
thought of it.
i still remember my best
mile time. it was 9.46. running is not
my forte.

5. i am a certified openwater diver
and i’ve flown in a hot air balloon. i would
never ever sky dive. i am not a thrill
seeker in an adventurous way.

6. i had my palm read at a company
holiday party seven or eight years ago.
she told me i should be writer, and that
i’m a leader. i don’t see myself as a leader.
maybe a bosser? haha!

7. i didn’t find out the sex of either
sweet pea or munchkin before their births.
but i guessed right each time. it was
always fun to have the love announce it–
after a stunned silence. haha!

i tag : moonie, chris eldin, kim
and stuart! let me know if you play!

Wait, you’re a certified open water diver – and not good at sports. . . rattle, chunk, clunk, does not compute…

I think you’d make a great leader. You lead by example, and those are my favorite leaders:)

You are stronger than me. I could barely wait to 20 weeks to find out the gender. So far, I’m 2 for 2 as well, hehe.

Good for you, getting Cs! I got a D in P.E. one year and it was so pathetic because I REALLY tried. We had to run a mile every Friday no matter how bad the air quality or how hot it was (and I am from Riverside). When people used to tell me that I was enjoying the best years of my life, I always felt like bursting into tears.

I love the idea that you wrote a letter to your future husband…there’s a story in there ;)

And I’m an openwater diver, too — some of my favorite memories have been made diving!

kim, i only took on diving because my hub loves it. and i wanted to be his “buddy”. just to be preemptive, in case he got paired with a statuesque blonde. haha! i am NOT a swimmer. and it’s a little intimidating.

natalie, thank you! i love that idea, leading by example.

moonie, i hope you get to play!

mary, awww. a fellow non PE girl. wasn’t it so hard?

ell, i can’t remember the exact drivel. but it wasn’t pretty. haha!

juliette, haha! we’ll have to swap diving stories. where was your favorite place that you dived? i’d have to think about that one…

Hey C, well, an ex-BF of mine was a Divemaster, and so some of the best dives were just me and him diving in the waters near his holiday home in Tobago. I saw everything — including lots of sharks! And I did some diving in Thailand, too.

And (!) I’ve been invited by the Nature Conservancy to do a piece on the Solomon Islands (a piece I’m co-authoring with their lead scientist) which will, I’ve been promised, involve some serious diving, too!

BTW Have you started NaNo yet? I can’t upload my first file…

    I haven’t done a meme in a long time!
I even had an anti-meme badge at one point.
But I have the itch, and am sooo happy to do this one! It will be a nice break—thanks!!
    :-)

And I LOVE the term “bosser.” ahahahah! That’s pretty funny.
    :-)

chirs, whoops! you had an anti-meme button? haha! sorry! i thought it’d be fun. i’m gonna see if you played! =D

and i def hold the title of “bosser” at home. haha! lead bosser. as there are mini-bossers below me, who mimic mommy. =p
