i had a very peculiar dream this morning.
in the midst of chasing after or being chased,
in search of someone lost, i had to bring a large
suitcase with me and go down this giant slide
to get to my [urgent] destination below.
i fling the suitcase into some special luggage
chute and hesitate at the giant slide.
it’s steep, looks dangerous, and giant slides
scare me in real life (!!!). but i do it, trying
to slow my descent with my hands.
but for some reason, i’m buck nak3d!
on top of that, i’ve been filmed and my
little nood slide escapade is
posted on youtube! so when i reach my
urgent destination, i find out that some
people have caught my “show” with much
glee and i’m worrying about having to deal
with getting my nood slide show off of
the internet. like there isn’t enough things
to worry about?!
haha!
for the record, i’ve never had oh no! i’m
nak3d anxiety dreams. mine usually
revolve around a calculus final that i
arrive to last minute, after realizing i
had not done homework the entire
semester. how am i going to graduate
if i don’t satisfy my blasted math
requirement? just thinking about these
dreams make me quake inside!
i opted out of the gym yesterday to
go do some back to school shopping
for the bubs. sweet pea is starting
kindy next tuesday! while passing through
nordy’s, i noticed a sale in women’s shoes.
as i’ve mentioned before, i’m not really
a shoe [or any type of accessories] girl.
but i decided to take a look. (i’d been
buying punkrose flats for the longest
time!) and i found these two that i
liked, marked 40% off!
the first is called black flow, which are
ballerina slippers. the second is a suede
sporty shoe called stone vino. they are privo
brand shoes (by clarks) and quite comfortable.
i almost never do heels (thus the terror over my
jessica simpson gold heels for the conference)
and opt for comfort. i got both shoes for
$100 which i think is a great deal!
these are 8.5, because the brand runs
big. i’m 5.7″. my mom is 5.5″ and has size
10 feet. she found it impossible to buy
shoes when living in taiwan and had to
have them specially made! yeah, we’d
totally be the farm hands back in ancient
chinese times. haha!

You know, I’ve often had a similar dream. Not the naked one, but the one where I didn’t finish my requirements and didn’t graduate. Hmmm.
Glad you found some shoes you like. I can’t do flats, they actually hurt my feet. Ouch! Plus having an inch or two is helpful for a shorty like me.
lc! is it math for you, too? or something different?
yes, my petite friends always do heels, even if a wedge! i have flat feet(no arch) so the flats actually work well for me. can’t wait to see you next weekend! =D
Hmm. I’m sensing some kind of re-birthing in your dream? Not sure what YouTube being involved symbolizes!
jacqui, ohno you didn’t say the B word?? 8) maybe i’m spending too much time online? eee!
It’s not math. Usually it’s just some random requirement I forgot to do. Weird.
Can’t wait for next week. It’s gonna be fun!
Sounds like an anxiety-fueled dream to me… but to the important stuff – the SHOES! Those are cool. I am a huge privo fan, have hot pink soft leather clogs and a pair of chartreuse slides. So comfy, so eccentric looking. Off to SRI… gotta shop… Peace, Linda
Anxiety dream. About the book and your career.
I think that while they changes dress sizes down, they upped shoe sizes.
linda and bernita, def anxiety dream. i just don’t like the new nood internet version. haha! our id sure knows how to muck with us!
linda, wow, you’ve got some privos? i really do love them. so comfy. and the styles are cute.
Happy Birthday to a sweetie!
hugs
kimmi
Ooh, is it your b-day already? Happy B-day! Us fellow Virgos have to stick together. My own b-day is next week.
As for the shoes, can’t speak to those, except that they look comfy. But as for the dream . . . yes, I would get those dreams all the time in high school and college. And yes, same subject: math!
Funny, tho, every dream I’ve had borne of anxiety — and in which I failed to pass the grade or the class — I always ended up doing really well in the real life scenario. So maybe this is a good omen for you?
That’s how I like to see it.
Happy Birthday, Cindy!!!!!
I LOVE the shoes, particularly the black ones… so versatile. And why I never noticed you had a website before I have no idea, but may I just say how beautiful it is? Really, one of my favorite websites.
unless it really appears on youtube, i’d not worry for a second… just have some green tea, and remember to breathe ;)
thanks, kimmi!
david, happy early birthday! =D
michelle, thanks for visiting my website. that’s such a great compliment.
LW, warn me if you see it on youtube! ;*)
